Who am I?

My name is Haggen Kennedy, I was born in December 1979 in Salvador, a beach-city in the state of Bahia, in northeastern Brazil. I may have been working as a translator/interpreter for nearly 15 years now, but music is an intrinsic part of my life. I cannot live without it. And Iron Maiden are, without hesitation, my favorite band.

I have been an Iron Maiden fan for quite some time now, and for a while I've been playing with the idea of creating a little website dedicated to describing The Soundhouse Tapes.

It all started when I acquired my own copy of TST. It was extremely hard for me to find out if I had gotten a real copy of it. I basically had help from no one, and I did not know the right people to ask. Those that I did ask, knew even less than me about it, so that didn't help.

I did find ways to finally discover whether or not I had gotten the real item, but it took me a good deal of time -- much of it, immersed in sheer desperation. Much of the information I had acquired was very dubious. Some people said one thing, other people said things that were the opposite of what I had just learned. Even the official Fan Club at some point released information that was not entirely correct, much to my chagrin -- and, I am sure, to others', too.

So well, I had to endure a mean battle until I could finally breathe like a normal human being. So I thought I should try and help those who may not be so fortunate as myself. Many fans out there -- people who are really interested in the subject -- may just spend 20 or 30 years not ever knowing how to point out a fake copy. Or even worse: they may have spent all these years actually believing that their own copy was genuine, when it may not be.

Now this is why I made this website. I wanted this to be a FREE resource to all. Much of the information that I gathered here is very hard to access for some people. Some places demand registration, some places demand payment. Not all people can pay first and see if it's useful later. So well, here it is. It's my little project, born out of the sheer will to help others that might find themselves between a rock and a hard place.
